What audience am I targeting and how?
The target audience I am trying to attract is anyone that is a vegetarian or vegan within any age group, people who want to cut down on meat and start a new healthy lifestyle that consists of nice proper products from companies that are meat free, and from this, hopefully gain more once people start off to do Meat Free Monday. How I will do this? I will make a questionnaire making sure people are aware of Quorn and what they do for the community and to test them for the FMM. Making an advertisement in 3 ways, one viral, one TV and the other a radio one. All will reach to all audiences from of course people who watch TV, people who are on the internet a lot, and even for people who use the radio a lot. That will be the main way of trying to attract my target audience.
Production plan, justification for crew choice –
My production plan is simple in ways, but also might be annoying to film as it’ll probably have to get it right in the first take. I would say for the most part it’ll work out pretty well and won’t need a lot of reshoots, but if that is necessary then I will obviously be okay with reshooting. My crew choice has been chosen and it will consist of myself as a works-man for Quorn telling the audience about Quorn products and Meat Free Mondays. The reason for this is because I wasn’t in my last project and decided I should be in one and this makes sense. The next will be my Nan who in this advert will be acting as the person who should be eating Quorn on the Monday but either forgot or just isn’t doing it. I chose her because she would seem like a normal old person on the commercials you see for food products. The next will be my friend Jack who will be the person who runs through the door and smacking the food off the plate. I chose Jack because I’ve filmed with him before. he’s comfortable in front of the camera and doesn’t mind me taking awhile to film.
What equipment and locations I require –
First off, I’ll need a camera with a microphone, the microphone will help me pick uop the audio better. Then I will need a tripod, which will help for the simple pan shots and talking scenes for stabilisation. I will then need some lights to help the lighting in the location I will be in as it hasn’t got the best lighting. This will help with the grain and dimness that’ll show up in the footage if it didn’t have good lighting. For the radio, I will need a microphone again, a mixer possibly for any change in sound if I need it. For locations, I will have 1 location in the video but will probably shoot in two locations and see which one is better. One will be dining/living room of my Nan’s house as she’ll be eating, or another being outside in the back garden of my Nan’s house on the eating table there if the weather seems okay enough. The lighting might make it easier or better on the footage, plus we will have more room to film.
The general plot, structure and messages I am trying to communicate –
The general plot is just someone forgetting that it’s Free Meat Monday, then eats meat, someone just rushes through and throws the food off the plate, handing then Quorn nuggets and then placing the box on the table to show off that it’s Quorn. That’ll be for the TV commercial, for the viral video will be an extended version of that with me walking on the screen. For the radio advert I think I will do the same concept as the TV and viral one but in a way that it’s obviously just in audio. So a microwave going off, footsteps, maybe steaming food, then running, plate smashing, then talking about free meat mondays.
